I made this for a swap over on the Pl network.  For New Year's...woooo hooooo

I got these for Christmas and love them and the framelits that come with the Crazy Birds and the Crazy Bird Things...lol

Here is what I did... I stamped and embossed on "Paint Chip Samples"... I'm not really all that good in coloring the Crazy birds yet, but thought I take advantage of all my paint chips that I've collected over the years... So they are my "Mixed Media type Crazy Birds" Enjoy and Happy New Year!

Pocket Letter Oranment Fun....

Christmas Ornament Fun...

I like everyone else love Target's Dollar Spot... And like everyone else dig through the bins to find those awesome fun goodies for our Pl or our planners and whatever else...lol

Last week, I ran across a pack of these wooden deer and and these cute Merry Christmas words and also I grabbed the tiny velvet bow ties.... :-)

I decided to amp them up and use them on my pl to decorate the front for my Christmas Theme pl for my pals.

I sponged on some gold paint and then sprinkled some UTEE on top and used my heat gun to give it some interest to the deer and some texture.  I did the same with the Merry Christmas pieces too.  I then glued on the pieces on top of the deer.   Waaaaaaaa -laaaaaaaa

A cute Christmas ornament... Something cheap and easy and yet so cute.  Take a look... what do you think?

"Autumn Theme Pocket Letter"

Autumn Theme Pocket Letter for a Pal...

I went walking outside with my lovely fur baby today. I saw all the leaves that are changing colors and falling to the grass. I decided to take some Nature inside with me, so I picked some up.  Decided to send these to the pal who doesn't get to see the colors change on the leaves, she lives down south in FL.  :)  I got her pocket letter in the other day. :-)  So, I figure I'd fuse the leaves to preserve them and easily send them down with the Pocket Letter.

I used some "Indian Corn" embossing powder on the bottom right corner that I cut out with my Eclips machine. The other embossing powder is Opalite Black, which has gold and different kinds of glitter to really make the leave look like it changed different colors. :)  I used my favorite Vellum there that is the center pocket... It has gold embossed leaves on the reddish vellum color.

I tuck some goodies in the back, the paper is double sided with nice design on the back. The paper is from K& Company designer "Tim Coffeey".. His old Fall theme designer paper. :)  Hope she likes. :)

Fused PostCard...

Fused Postcard "Fuse Tool"...

I made this Postcard with my We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool... I put a little shaker shakers things inside before I fused it all.  I stamped and embossed some leaves and wrote a little note on the back, and sprayed it with some color mists.

For a Q & A No Goodie Swap Plp

Made this for a partner of mine, we are doing "Q & A No Goodie Swap".  Everyone seems to be so fixated on packing their back pockets and not worrying about the real fun of a "Pocket Letter Pal" which is the letter.

In this one, I wrote up some questions and answered them and tucked them in the pockets. This is my second swap like this I have done.  This is so much fun and interesting and getting to know people.

Fun for my Plp...

These are for my Pocket Letter Pals...

I been playing more and more with my Sizzix Eclips machine... and came up with these for my Pocket Letter Pal tuck in's.

Not sure weather to "Fuse" them with my fuse tool and make shakers or leave them as is.  Will have to play some more with them.

What do you think? Fuse or not to fuse? lol

"At The Beach" Pocket Letter

"At The Beach" Pocket Letter Pal...

I am sending this off to another pal. She sent me the most beautiful 4th July Pocket Letter theme.  I haven't done a Beach theme until today.  I worked on it and used my favorite line of paper which is by Tim Coffey Specialty Paper " Travel... It's the Beach theme and all the 3 D stickers and all the pretties.  I love it.

I did the back and also used Jolee's stickers that I thought were cute.  I have a baggie of goodies for her along with a letter.  I didn't want to cover any of this up, so no goodies are in the pockets... lol :-D.

Turquoise Pocket Letter for a Pal

Made this for a Plp of mine and she wanted to do a color theme plp.  She wanted Turquoise and I wanted Purple (yep, love purple) Not going to send this until August 12th.  The background paper is Turquoise and Silver (whole sheet glitter) got the stack at Hobby Lobby.  The glitter is solid and will not come off.  Love this paper.  I think it looks pretty good.  I used everything here in my stash the is Turquoise and similar to that color. I used my 123 Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers to make the bow.  I attached the bow with a pearl turquoise brad.   Hope she like it.

The back of the plp in the bottom left hand corner isn't from a die, rather than from using my Sizzix Eclips machine. (Same kind of electric machines as the other brands out there on the market)

My Fused Shaker ....

"Fused Shaker made with We R Memory Keepers "Fuse Tool"..... wooooo hoooo...

I used one of my ole' rubberstamps- Zip Lock baggie and some flower stamps.  I gold embossed the Zip Lock baggie rs and used some of my Color Bursts for the flower background and then gold embossed the top of the flowers with the outline stamp.

Then I found my old ruler (for scrapbooking) and it has the double edge, remember how you could hold the edge of the paper and tear to get the look of this ruler... :D  anywho... This is how I got my edge all the way around the shaker with the fuse tool and ruler.  I think it turned out pretty neeto...lol

Comment if you like.  Have a good one. :-)

Samples...

Don't Have A Laser Printer To Foil With?

Well, I played with the "Toner Powder" and some old foil that I've had for a long time.  Right now all the rage besides Pocket Letter Pals (Plp) is "Gold & Foiling".

I don't have a Laser Printer which seems to be needed to have the Foil stick to after you print something from the laser. Not sure how much it would cost each time I wanted something printed to use the foil that everyone seems to be playing with.

I went on over to YouTube, where you can find anything or everything to learn or try or get great ideas.... Which I did, I typed in Foiling and let the videos play one right after another, while I listen while I was probably making Pocket letters in my craft area.. I heard this women talk about "Toner Powder" and how it's used for "Laser Printers".  I got up and went into the living room and looked at the tv screen and proceeded to watch the video.  Video down below, (posted yesterday 7/20/15).  Well, I had bought the Toner Powder a few weeks ago and didn't really play.  So I did last night, and here is the outcome.  Remember I used my old foil stuff that I've had for years.... "What's Old Is New Again" right?  I still even have my old old Foiling Hot Pen from way back when.  lol  Remember Hero Arts sold their foil square sheets and also another company sold the on tiny cardbaord rolls and I have that very needle thin point for the glue for the foil...lolroflmao.. Anywho...  These are the results,it's hard to tell on this scan, but the foil is there and the Toner Powder worked.  I probably just need to buy some of that new foil that's out there. I hear the buzz word "Transfer Foil" too.  What do you think?

Heidi Swapp Minc Machine - Foiling A Stamped Image

She is using "Toner Powder" for those like me who don't have a Laser Printer... This works great.  I bought some Toner Powder and have been playing with it and have a few samples that I will post later on.  This is brilliant. Now all of us Ink Jet User don't have to be left out in the "foiling fad"...lol

I used rub ons and also my Eclips machine to make the donuts and used liquid pearls and glitter for on top of the donuts.

And the card on the back with the m and m's says "Stay Calm & Eat Sweets"...lol

"No Goodie Pocket Letter"

"No Goodie Pocket Letter"

Over on fb plp group there was a girl who suggested a No Goodie Pocket letter and to focus more on the Letter of the Pocket Letter.  To include questions, if you wanted answer them and include a letter.  This was fun and don't worrying about "oh what to stick in the back or front of the pockets".  After all, it's the letter and info from a person that is really fun to learn about, not what's inside or in the back of the pockets.

Here is what I came up with... I used my Tim Holtz "Alpha Dies" for the numbers and also used the SU Scalloped envy die, which is perfect for these pockets.  I also used a Sizzix square envy die to and included in those some stamped images, just little flat things. (force of habit, I like to include little goodies, but refrain from putting "bulky" goodies in...lol)  I typed out the questions on the back of the cards.  I then answered the questions and stuck those answers in the scalloped envies.  I also enclosed a letter for more "tid bits about me"...lol  I hope she enjoys my questions and hope to hear back with her answers.

Front and back of the "No Goodie" Pocket Letter...

The little Library envies are from a punch.  "Q & A" pockets, I just stuck in little tickets.

With one of our favorite Summer shows coming back on this coming week... I'd make a few shakers...lol  Background is the Polished stone technique I learned a long time ago...and then used IO's shaker dome pieces and some washi tape to seal around.  And some puffy fish stickers...lol And a few circled punch index card pieces for bubbles...lol

"All About Me" Pocket Letter...

"All About Me" Pocket Letter Pal...

I'm in a swap over on the Plp Network... the theme is: "All About Me".  You tell your partner in a letter different things about you and include pictures of family and etc...

I made this to send to my partner, and on the back side, used my Fuse tool to make the flip pockets that I attached to the pocket letter on the back.  I made them with the pockets from the Trading card pockets... I didn't have any of the ones that are already made from We R Making Memories.  I fused all 4 of them together, it worked great and they flip and everything.  Love how it turned out.

Thanks for looking...

Sending Letters... ICAD #292

When Life gives you Lemons...

Day #291 ICAD

When Life Gives you Lemons...

I used inka gold (purple metallic) and then tried some firework spray to see what would happen with the inka gold rub.. It got nice and pearly and just a tad of a sheen... I used Dandelion firework spray.  And also used white embossing powder and yellow embossing powder for the lemons.  The stamp says

"When Life Gives You Lemons...Make Lemonade.... When Life Gives You A Yeast Infection .... Make Bread".... this stamp is from RBBB... lolroflmao
