Merry Christmas & Happy New Year...

Happy Holidays Everyone,
I got my partner's Christmas Charms in the mail and just want to show you all how pretty my partner made all the charms.  We were suppose to do at least one Christmas one and the rest on how that partner wanted...colors and themes.  I hope my partner Joanne likes mine as much as I love her's.  Thanks Joanne for the extra "Christmas Tags".  I wish I would have thought of making you some, but it's just hard for me this year to get into the Spirit.  I so enjoy the tags you sent and how you did them.  Thanks again Joanne for everything.  Stay in touch and hope to swap with you again.  Here are the charms she made and sent to me along with the tags.
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!

Nov. Autumn Charms

Hello To All come here...
I've been busy making my "Autumn Charms" for Emora Design (Regan).  I've had so much fun making these and being able to swap them to those in the group.  We are working on the "Christmas Charm Swap" I worked on mine and now I'm done for my partner which I hope she likes them.  I won't post them till after she has gotten them in the mail.  My partner is from Canada.  I'm so anxious to see what they will be and what they all look like.  We had to make 10 charms for our partner.  So it should be tons of fun to get them in the mail next month.  They are due by Dec 5th.  So I hope if I mail them on Monday 22nd of Nov. she will get them on time.
Here is a pic of what I made for the Autumn.  The leaf charm has Alcohol inked, trying to get them to look like a autumn leaf. Thanks for stopping.

Lookie Here...What I got in the mail today. Ü Ü

I got a box in the mail today that I have been doing a happy dance all week about.   Thanks so much to my good friend Amy.  Her work is wonderful and so pretty.  I told her, "I need more foo foo in my life".  And she really foo foo me...lol  Here work can be seen at http://www.cardsbyamyk.blogspot.com . I'm posting what she made and the first up is the pretty sign that she made out of her broken 3 ring binder... This sucker is really sturdy... I love it...You should see it in person.  I'm so glad we met through the bottle swap this past July 2010.
On the altered chipboard it says "Robin's Crafty Spot"  This way where ever I craft it's my spot.  I have this on the easel that Amy had sent me along with other goodies in July.  What a sweet giving person she is. I love her work. Thanks Amy.

The other pic is the back of this pretty sign... she made a tag that is just as pretty and girlie as the front.  Love all the colors on the envy and it's sprayed with glimmer mist.

This is the Card she made and enclosed it with her goodies....
And last but not least... She made these pretty stick pins just for me... "A One of A Kind work of art"..
Here is a good pic....

Thanks Amy!  I love all that you made, you are inspiring person and very creative.

Second Charm that I made for the Oct Swap....

Here is the second charm I made for the Oct swap for Charms...Emora Designs is hosting.  Next month we have partners to send to and this should be really exciting and fun.

Charm Swap...

This is the first Charm swap I've been in.  We are to make two sets of 4 being both sets of charms are different.
I made this first charm with a bottle cap and Glossy Accents and watch parts and a stamped image in the background.  I made six of them.  Will be working on my other set pretty soon.  Not sure what I want to make for the next set of charms.

Altered Books

Front of My Altered Book

Sign In Pages

My Tea Bag Folding Page
I was two "Altered Book Swaps" years ago. What you do, you get some used books (hardcover books) and you "Alter them"  You can cut a hole in the center of the cover called a "niche" (sp?) Make a theme with your Altered book.  I like tea and pears and stuff... So I choose Tea for my theme.  You make sign in pages and then you do a couple pages of your them and can also alter the pages ripping them distressing them add things to the pages... sky and creativity is all up to you.  Then you get some friends who start a swap, you send your book around to the others and they have to add to your theme of the book, can do as many pages they like.  Until the whole book has been passed around and worked in my swap members your book will come back to you all filled with different art work and creativity.  My other book was a Christmas Altered book, this is where we used Old Christmas cards that were sent in the holidays and we altered the cards and such and put them in the pages of the book.  Adding embellishments and what everyone just felt like adding to their pages.  I hope enjoy.

Altered Cigar Box

I've been working on this Altered Cigar box for a while and have it finally completed.  It sits on our coffee table and inside we store battiers for the tv remotes...lol  I think it's pretty nice and gives a talktive piece when family and friends come to the house. lol  Hope you enjoy my pictures and thanks for looking.

The first pic of the Altered Cigar box is the top, Middle pic is the front bottom half where the closure is and the third pic is the inside of the box.   I used Magic Leafing and Luminue paints and I just love pear stamps, they were unmounted so I'm not sure where they came from.  The pears on top of the box ... they are made with UTEE and beads and I also painted the pears and leaves.  Hope you enjoy.

What did I do this past Weekend...

This past weekend I went to the Scrap and Stamp Art Tour convention up in Pittsburgh.  The crowd was small, but not crowded... I bought a lot from Stampers Anonymous booth, love Tim Holtz stuff.. I enjoyed some of the make and takes and along what they offered.  I bought some of those Smooches and the White Vanilla spray to spray over the top of the Smooches.  Loved the vendor's technique when using the Smooches.  The bottles are really cute, they look like nail polish with the nail polish brush.   Bought a lot of unmounted stamps.  It was nice to go, because I wasn't able to go to the Akron Convention this year. Hopefully will be able to go in April.   Although I did get my "Adventures In Stamping card" in the mail today saying "Fall Edition 2010 In Oct."  who knows if I will go to that one.
Oh yea, I also sent out my bottle swap last Thursday.  I hope my partner enjoys her goodies.
Have a good week everyone.

Joined my first Bottle Swap

I joined my first Bottle Swap.  I've seen so many over the years but never participated in any.  Until this month.  I get a partner along with her answers to the questionnaire that our hostess has sent out. Get a 2 liter bottle and cut it open.  Stuff things in the bottle that your partner would like and or anything else you like to stick in the bottle.  This bottle goes through the mail.  I can't wait.  I'm working on my partner's bottle now.

They are due to our partners by Aug. 1.  Can't wait to see my mail lady's expression when she delivers this bottle to me.  I'll share here what all I rec'd in my bottle.  I don't have a flip camera or anything.  So, I post here and also put in my picture trail site as well.  My picture trail site is...  http://www.picturetrail.com/moorestuff

Good bye for now.
