I used my embossing folder (Script) and also gesso. Then I used some paint...didn't like that color so I painted purple metallic Stampel 3D (Viva Decor) paint over it. Well, something was lacking. So I grabbed my other Tea Stencil cups and used some spackling paste over the stencil. It was white, so I used some more purple metallic paint over it... and then took my heat tool and heated until it bubbled.... I added more paint on top...and did the same to dry. Next thing I know, it looks like the cups are 3D and are "in" a wall or cave somewhere... hence "Hiddin". It looks really cool in person. :-) They look like artifacts from a long time ago.... :-)
I used my bubble embossing folder and then used my Dizty Glitz spray Turquoise to give it a blue and shimmer look of water. I used some fun stickers. Then I used my crimper and ran the index card through the crimper.
I will be mailing this out on Monday to a Pal who loves getting mail...lol Hope she likes it... I had fun making it... I found those old Prima Bulbs that look like the have water inside and put one on the card and stamped "life" and Snoopy doing a Happy Dance...lol
Yes, who said Mixed Media art had to be expensive and have to have all kinds of paints and stuff like that.... These ICAD's that I've made are my mixed media style... Don't have to spend a lot and have to have this or that just because the itmes or products say "Mixed Media " on them. Right?
I made two of these for a swap over on Fb for the Pocket Letter Pals. These are so much fun to make and will be making some for my Long Term Pen Pals which I'm sure they will like and we will swap occasionally to each other. Here is what I came up with my swap to Foodie Pocket Letter Pals.... The cs is DCWV the Kitchen Stack (can't think of what it's called off hand) but it's really cute and love the glittery effect in the background. I used my Sizzix Eclips machine to cut and print out the Kitchen theme die cuts.
Let me know what you think... Thanks Going to do a video sometime on the PLP that I got so far... :-)
This is how I've been dressing up my Pocket Letter envies that I've been swapping out with other pals...I'm having so much fun making these and swapping them. I do need to start making more of my ICAD's, I'm about a week and half back. I hate that. I need to get busy. July 2015 is almost here and I want to be done with my ICAD's that I promised myself to do for the year.
